Delete Your Account
Last Updated: Oct 29, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account with Horizon Trade, operated by Horizon Global Trade, and what happens to your data. It covers the horizon.trade website and the Horizon Trade apps for Android and iPhone: one account is used for all of them, and deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere.
1. How to delete your account
- On the website: sign in at horizon.trade, open Settings, and on the Account tab choose Delete account. Tell us why you are leaving, then choose Request deletion.
- In the app (Android or iPhone): tap your profile picture at the top right to open Settings, then tap Delete account. The app opens the same Delete account section of the website, where you continue as above.
- By email: if you cannot sign in, email support@horizon.trade from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm the request with you and then delete the account.
Our team reviews every request and contacts you by email before your account is deleted. Until then your account keeps working, and you can withdraw the request from the same Delete account section. We email you again when the account is deleted.
If you are a creator (you publish strategies others copy, or you receive payouts), the Delete account section offers Email us to delete instead: our team closes creator accounts and contacts you to do it.
2. Before you delete
- Before you can ask, cancel any paid subscription, stop your live strategies, and unsubscribe from any strategy you copy. The Delete account section lists what is left, each with a link to settle it. Paper trading never holds you back.
- When your account is deleted, anything Horizon still runs for you is stopped, and the positions its strategies and copies hold are closed at market. Positions you opened yourself in your broker account are not touched.
- While your request waits, you cannot start a live strategy, a copy or a paid plan. Stopping, cancelling and unsubscribing still work.
3. What is deleted
As soon as we delete your account: your login, so the account can no longer be used; your running strategies and copies, which stop; your paid subscriptions, which are cancelled; and your broker connections and their credentials, once the positions Horizon holds are closed.
Within 60 days: everything else we hold about you, including your profile, strategies, chats, backtests, uploaded files, notifications and devices, product analytics and session recordings, and the data our AI uses to remember your preferences.
4. What we keep
- Invoices and payment records held by our payment processor, Stripe, which we keep for tax purposes.
- A fingerprint of each card saved on your account, as Stripe issues it, stored with nothing that names you, so that the same card cannot start another free trial.
- Records of marketplace sales, which we keep as financial records. Your name and contact details are removed; the record points to an anonymous ID.
- Records that belong to other users and only refer to your account, such as their copies of a strategy you published. They also point to an anonymous ID.
- Trade decision audit records, kept for up to 365 days.
- Your email opt-out, if you unsubscribed from our emails. We keep it only as a one-way hash of your address, so that we never email you again.
- Advertising conversion events already sent to Meta, which Meta keeps under its own retention because it offers no way to delete them.
