Alpaca is a commission-free trading platform for US stocks and ETFs. Horizon connects to Alpaca through a secure hosted login portal rather than pasted API keys. Today this connects an Alpaca Paper Trading account only; connecting a live Alpaca account isn't supported yet.

How it works
- Click Connect and sign in to Alpaca through the secure login portal
- Authorize Horizon to read your Paper Trading account
- Start executing strategies against that Paper Trading account
- Monitor trades and performance in real time

- 2Sign in with your Alpaca account in the login window
- 3Approve the connection

Frequently asked questions
- Can I connect my live Alpaca account?
- Not yet. Horizon's Alpaca connection currently supports Paper Trading accounts only; live account support is planned but not available today.
- Do I need to paste an API key?
- No. You sign in to Alpaca through a secure hosted login portal, so your credentials are never typed into Horizon directly.
- How can I remove my account from an app?
- You can disconnect your account at any time directly within Horizon or from your Alpaca account settings.
