When we started hiring for Horizon, we settled on one question: would we trust this person's code with our own money?
That question does a lot of work. Horizon turns plain-English ideas into strategies that trade live through real brokers. A vague answer in the agent pipeline, a lazy assumption in the backtest, a race condition in execution: each one has a P&L attached.
So the team stays small, and the bar stays uncomfortable. There is no layer between you and the problem. You get the idea, the code, the deploy, and the consequences.
You will carry more responsibility than feels reasonable. You will not be bored. And the market will grade your work every single day, which is either terrifying or the best feedback loop you have ever had.

One test decides what we ship: does it help someone trade with more confidence than they had before?
Ownership is the whole culture. Engineers talk to traders, review each other's strategies, and follow their code all the way into production. Titles are the least interesting fact about anyone here. We write things down, keep meetings rare, and let shipped work settle arguments.
Because the surface area is enormous and the team is still small. The systems you build in your first months will carry real capital for years, and your fingerprints end up on everything: the agents, the engine, the product.
